Work
The collection of work here is a combination of my work as a copywriter, copy editor, and proofreader. It's meant to give a high-level snapshot of my thought process, what I'm capable of, and what I've done thus far.
01
CarMax
The value proposition here is peace of mind — the most important thing to someone buying a used car. If my "new to me" car can be returned, but my jeans (a far cheaper and less well-thought-out purchase) that I've worn for 5 days can't... It's a great analogy that the average person can relate to, and that can be used to create a loyal CarMax customer.
02
Article Optimization
This article was edited from an optimization standpoint -- adding in titles, headings, etc to optimize SEO. It was also edited for things like grammar, spelling, punctuation, and UK English throughout. Click on the image of the article to open up the original word doc and see the result of my editing work on this article.
03
LinkedIn post for NFT video
The idea here was to make the often difficult-to-understand topic like NFTs feel accessible and unintimidating. The language here has been SEO optimized and the hashtags were chosen based on current trends and industry-specific terminology.
04
Destination Wander web copy
This copy was written to convey the depth of culture, humanity, and the potential experience travelers could have when embarking on a curated tour with Destination Wander, a company that specializes in tours of Sicily.
05
Capital One technical editing examples
It's hard to show the work of a proofreader. It's more like a conversation or an experience together. I managed to save these 2 examples from my tenure at Capital One. They show very nuanced but very necessary changes that were made to the copy based on my recommendations.
